Android App Privacy Policy


University of Missouri Android App (henceforth, The App) does not collect or transfer any data to us or to any third party apart from the circumstances explained below.

Issues Emergency Calls

The App requests access to be able to place emergency calls to 911 and the Campus Police only. It does not record or transfer any phone data to us or any third party.

Access to myZou

The App does require your University username and password to access myZou for such items as grades, schedules and course catalog. In all cases data transferred is to the phone via web services. No data is transmitted to be stored by us or any third party.

Access to Phone Number

The App accesses the phone number when using the STRIPES module to request a ride. This information is transferred to the STRIPES application only when a ride request is made.

Monitor for Calls

The App does monitor phone state to mute the audio stream from KBIA during an incoming call. No data is used, stored or transmitted.

Access GPS

The App does display current location on Maps when GPS is turned on. No data is used, stored or transmitted.

Cache Download Data

The App does cache downloaded data from news, event feeds, etc. No data is transmitted from the device.
